OXFORD COUNTY - When You See Snow, Go Slow!
That's the message from the OPP today as we get set for another blast of mother nature tomorrow. In Woodstock we are expecting between 5-10 centimetres of snow tomorrow afternoon. Some areas in the region could get as much as 15 centimetres.
Police are putting the message out now to drive to the conditions after another crazy day on the roads on Monday. West Region OPP which includes Oxford County responded to over 239 collisions in a 24 hour span starting on Sunday afternoon.
The OPP is reminding motorists to slow down and leave extra space between vehicles to adjust to reduced braking ability on icy, snowy roads. Driving defensively and responsibly during the winter months will ensure you and your loved ones will reach your destination safely.
Police are also reminding everyone to give snow plow operators plenty of space to do their job and homeowners are asked to not blow snow onto the roadways when they cleaning up their driveways tomorrow.
