Woodstock's Environmental Advisory Committee will be hosting Seedy Saturday at the Woodstock Public Library tomorrow.
WOODSTOCK - Woodstock's Environmental Advisory Committee is partnering with the Woodstock Public Library to host a Seedy Saturday.
Chair Elise Gabrielli says the event is made for all ages. She says the primary focus will be on seeds and their growth.
"We're encouraging that general theme and basic training of how you save your seeds, why it's important to save your seeds, how to preserve them for next year, and really just promoting the seed library and how we hope to continue to grow it into the coming year."
Gabrielli adds the event will have various opportunities to teach and train everyone on the importance of seeds, with various ways to get involved.
"The event is just to offer up free workshops, talks, meet with local experts, but also again creating some fun activities that really encourage you to bring your family out. Young and old alike."
The event will be held on Saturday October 14th, lasting from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
