Environment Canada says there could be severe thunderstorms late this afternoon and this evening.
Oxford County is under both a severe thunderstorm watch and a heat warning.
Environment Canada says the area could get severe thunderstorms with strong wind gusts and nickel sized hail late this afternoon and this evening.
The weather office notes the main hazard will be damaging wind gusts, and there is some uncertainty regarding how far east the risk of severe weather will continue this evening.
Large hail can cause injuries and damage to property, and you're advised to take cover immediately if threatening weather approaches.
In regards to the heat warning, the agency says tonight's low of 19 won't bring much relief from the heat, but slightly cooler temperatures are in the forecast for tomorrow.
