The provincial Special Investigations Unit has been called into Thamesford. Early this morning, Oxford OPP were tending to a domestic disturbance call at 5 Middleton St. The call came in at 4:26 a.m., and at 5:10 a.m., police say they located a man inside the residence who had inflicted a life threatening injury to himself. OPP administered First Aid, and called EMS to the scene. The man is now in a London Hospital. The SIU has been called in to investigate police actions in the case. Anytime a civilian is injured or killed where police were directly involved, the SIU investigates. No other information is being released.
