A 36-year-old had to be taken to hospital with a serious but non-life-threatening injury after they were arrested by Woodstock Police in the Peel Street and Reeve Street area last Tuesday.
WOODSTOCK - The SIU has been called in to investigate an arrest in Woodstock.
Woodstock Police say a 36-year-old suspect was taken to hospital with a serious but non-life-threatening injury on Tuesday March 14th.
Officers responded to a report of an attempted assault in the Dundas Street and Finkle Street area shortly before 11:00 p.m. that evening. The arrest happened in the area of Peel Street and Reeve Street.
The Special Investigations Unit is called in whenever there is an incident with police that results in death, serious injury, sexual assault, and/or discharge of a firearm.
