The SIU says a man had to be taken to hospital with a serious injury after he was arrested by Woodstock Police in Roth Park early yesterday morning.
WOODSTOCK - The SIU has been called in to investigate an arrest in Woodstock.
Officials say Woodstock Police spotted a man who matched the description of a person of interest in Roth Park at around 3:30 a.m. yesterday.
He was riding a bike at the time, and he fell off that bike when officers confronted him. He was taken to hospital with a serious injury after his arrest.
The Special Investigations Unit is called in whenever there is an incident with police that results in death, serious injury, sexual assault and/or discharge of a firearm. Two investigators and one forensic investigator will be handling this case.
