The driver was taken to hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries, after being involved in a single motor vehicle collision on Newport Road between Old Greenfield Road and Sour Springs Road on Saturday night.
BRANT COUNTY - The OPP Special Investigation Unit has invoked a mandate following a Highway Traffic Act Violation involving one vehicle in Brant County.
A Brant County OPP officer was doing a traffic stop on Newport Road near Old Greenfield Road on June 27th after 8:00 p.m, when they noted a violation.
Before the officer began the traffic stop, the vehicle was found on Newport Road between Old Greenfield Road and Sour Springs Road.
It had been involved in a single motor vehicle collision and the driver suffered serious, but non-life threatening injuries and was taken to hospital. Meanwhile, the passenger was not injured.
The OPP has notified the SIU and the OPP will not be able to provide any further information.
