United Way Oxford and VON Sakura House each received a cheque for $65,691.14.
OXFORD - It was another successful Smile Cookie campaign for the Tim Hortons locations in Woodstock, Ingersoll and Innerkip.
They managed to raise over $131,382.24 between April 27th and May 3rd this year. The funds have been divided, so United Way Oxford and VON Sakura House each received a cheque for $65,691.14.
Amanda Kreiger, the Resource Development Manager for United Way Oxford, is very grateful for the community support.
"There are many times throughout the year that I am reminded of just how generous and powerful out community is. Smile Cookie week is one of those times! We are so thankful to the Tim Hortons owners and everyone who buys a Smile Cookie. Your support helps us meet people where they are at, and helps ensure that everyone in Oxford County gets the support they need, when they need it.
Brittany Bratt, the Manager of Fund Development for VON Sakura House, echoes those thoughts.
"This campaign truly shows that a small act like buying a cookie can make big impact in our community."
A Smile Cookie is a chocolate chunk cookie with a pink and blue icing smile. Tim Hortons offers them for one week in the spring for $2 each, and the proceeds go to a local charity of the restaurants choice.
The locations in Woodstock, Ingersoll and Innerkip have raised over $830,000 for Oxford County based organizations since 2021.
