The Southgate Centre in Woodstock with the help of Woodstock Rotary and Chartwell Oxford Gardens are delivering "SMILE" packs to 200 Seniors today.
WOODSTOCK - June is Seniors month and the Southgate Centre is going to be celebrating today by putting smiles on peoples faces.
They are set to deliver SMILE packs to 200 seniors today. This is a great feel good initiative that started with South Gate Centre. With the generous support of the Woodstock Rotary Club & Chartwell Oxford Gardens they have already been able to deliver round 2 of SMILES.
The bags are delivered to Seniors simply to “make them smile”. It’s an outreach from the community to them. It’s like a virtual hug via the SMILE pack.
This months’ packs will contain beneficial contact information for different community assistance, including the new seniors help line, delivery options, food ordering, virtual programming for seniors & Friendly phone visits. Food items, like apple sauce, V8, protein and snacks, homemade masks, gloves, hand sanitizer, sunscreen, brain teasers and games and everyone’s favourite, toilet paper.
Delivery drivers are arriving at Oxford Gardens at the side doors for 11 am.
