Oxford County and the surrounding areas are expecting the first real dose of lake effect snow tonight.
Oxford County and the surrounding areas are officially under a snow squall watch.
Environment Canada expects snow squalls in our area later tonight as a cold front moves through. Simcoe County is expected to be hit the hardest, but Huron, Middlesex, and Lambton are also expected to get a good dose of lake effect snow.
Here in Oxford we will likely be spared the brunt of the storm - current predictions expect between 10 - 15 cm.
Travel will be tricky when the snow begins to fly and motorists are being told to check their emergency supply kits and leave plenty of extra time.
This snow squall watch is also in effect for Elgin, Middlesex, and Perth
