Snow Storm Produces 21 Collisions in Woodstock

Woodstock Police responded to 21 collisions yesterday during the snow storm.

WOODSTOCK - Officers in the Friendly City were pretty busy yesterday afternoon.

They responded to 21 motor vehicle collisions during the first real snow storm of the season. Luckily nobody was seriously injured in any of the collisions. Most of the collisions resulted in minor vehicle and property damage. A lot of the problems happened at the various hills in Woodstock, where vehicles were having a hard time getting traction.

Police are reminding motorists that it is everyone’s responsibility to drive for the road conditions. Slow down, drive with caution and get to where you are going safely.

The West Region OPP meanwhile responded to 340 vehicle collisions in the span of 4 hours yesterday.
