Six local restaurants will to head to head in support of DASO on Wednesday, October 21st.

WOODSTOCK - Soupstock is back for another year, this time in the fall.

Six local restaurants will go head to head on Wednesday October 21st to see who has the best soup in town and support Domestic Abuse Services Oxford (DASO).

Executive Director Ashley Brown says they have quite the lineup.

"So we have some really exciting restaurants with Chris Seafood, Boston Pizza, Charles Dickens, Craigowan, Whisk & Roll and of course DASO has to be a competitor as well."

A panel of judges will determine the winner of the Golden Ladle and members of the public will determine the winner of the people's choice award.

Brown says it's a fun way to enjoy lunch with your friends and support a local cause at the same time.

"Tickets are $20 and we're selling tables of eight for $160 and it just buys you admission into the event at Goff Hall. Hopefully you'll come with lots of friends and go around to try all of the different soup!"

There will be two sittings around the lunch hour that day; one at 11:30 a.m. and another at 12:45 p.m..

Advanced tickets can be purchased at Whisk & Roll Bakery, Your Farm Market, or by sending an e-mail to sam@daso.ca.

Ashley Brown stopped by the Heart FM studio to chat with Dan and Marcie on Thursday, October 8th. You can listen to the full interview below:
