Southwestern Public Health has confirmed 2 new cases of COVID-19 today in St. Thomas and Elgin County. We currently have 27 active cases in the region, however only 4 are in Oxford County.
OXFORD/ST.THOMAS/ELGIN - Southwestern Public Health has confirmed 2 new cases of COVID-19 today.
The region currently has 27 active cases. Both of the new cases confirmed today are in St. Thomas and Elgin County. We currently have four cases listed as active in Oxford County, including 3 in Tillsonburg and 1 in Norwich.
To date, the Health Unit has tested 15,759 people for COVID-19. We have 114 cumulative confirmed cases, 82 cases have been resolved, 5 people have died from the virus and we currently have 27 active cases. We have also have had three institutional outbreaks since the pandemic was declared. All of the outbreaks are listed as resolved.
