We currently have 407 active cases of COVID-19 in our region after the Health Unit confirmed another 52 this morning and 47 recoveries. Hot spot areas continue to be Tillsonburg, Woodstock, EZT, St. Thomas and Aylmer.
OXFORD/ST.THOMAS/ELGIN - Southwestern Public Health is reporting 52 new cases of the virus today and 47 recoveries.
We currently have 19 people in the hospital with the virus, including 6 in the ICU. We currently have 407 active cases with most of them in Tillsonburg, Woodstock, Aylmer and St. Thomas. Here is the breakdown of the locations according to Southwestern Public Health:

The Health Unit is also reporting 10 active outbreaks at long term care homes. The outbreak at the Maple Manor Nursing Home in Tillsonburg has 56 residents who have tested positive for the virus and 39 staff members. The outbreak at PeopleCare in Tavistock now includes 32 residents and 24 staff members. Four residents have died after contracting COVID-19 at both PeopleCare and Maple Manor.
