Research from Thrombosis Canada states that you're more likely to get blood clots from birth control pills than the AstraZeneca vaccine.
OXFORD/ST. THOMAS/ELGIN - Southwestern Public Health is reminding the public you are more likely to get blood clots from birth control pills than Astra-Zeneca.
They recently shared some research from Thrombosis Canada. It shows the risk of getting blood clots from AstraZeneca is 4 in 1 million which is 0.0004%. The risk of getting blood clots from birth control pills is 900 in 1 million or 0.09%.
The risk for the average Canadian is 1,290 in 1 million or 0.13% and the risk of being hospitalized from COVID-19 is 147,000 in 1 million or 14.7%.
