STAGES Presents: The Addams Family

Wednesday Addams has fallen in love with a young man, and begs her father Gomez not to tell his wife Morticia.

WOODSTOCK - The senior STAGES program is ready for their next production.

Starting today, they will be putting on The Addams Family musical at Theatre Woodstock. Emmett Hammond is one of the actors, and will be playing Gomez.

"He's a passionate man; all he cares about is his wife and his daughter and he wants what's best for them."

Hammond mentions he has about 12 singing parts, and what song he is looking forward to most.

"When You’re an Adams is our opening number, and it's probably my favorite."

Addison Davies will be playing the Grandma, and talks about the role.

"She's pretty crazy. She speaks a little nonsense a lot."

Davies adds what musical number she is most excited for.

"Probably like the last song, Move Towards the Darkness."

Shows begin tonight at 7:30 p.m. and run for the final two weekends of the month. The other show times are; Saturday, May 23rd at 7:30 p.m., Sunday, May 24th at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 28th at 7:30 p.m., Friday, May 29th at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, May 30th at 2:00 p.m., and Sunday, May 31st at 2:00 p.m. 

Tickets will be $32 or $20 next Thursday for Thrifty Thursdays. You can purchase them online here or at the Theatre Woodstock box office.

The senior STAGES program is for aspiring actors in Grades 9 through 13.
