The Township of East-Zorra Tavistock says stormwater ponds can be quite dangerous during this time of the year.
EZT - East Zorra-Tavistock Township has sent a reminder to everyone that staying out of stormwater ponds is imperative.
Due to the constant flow, as well as the threat of pollutants, it is not safe to be swimming, boating or taking part in any activities near the stormwater.
The ponds have soft bottoms and unpredictable water levels so the chance of getting stuck is high. This could put people and pets at risk if they're looking for a place to cool off on a hot day.
Stay safe. Stay out of stormwater management ponds.
