Stephen Giuliano has announced his retirement plans and will officially step down as the Executive Director of Operation Sharing this Friday.
OXFORD COUNTY - Stephen Giuliano is stepping down as the Executive Director of Operation Sharing.
He has decided to retire after 26-years with the organization. He says it has been an honour to serve and he would like to thank everyone who has supported Operation Sharing over the years.
“Although I am looking forward to retirement, I know I will miss my staff, board, volunteers, and patrons, many who have become my good friends. Yet having said that, I am also very confident knowing they will continue on in tremendously valuable ways with Operation Sharing’s future."
Board President Marilyn Schmiedl says he will be missed.
“On behalf of the board, staff and volunteers at Operation Sharing I would like to thank Stephen for his 26 years of service not only to our organization but to our community. He has been in the forefront of Operation Sharing since its humble beginnings and has led us through so many challenging and wonderful moments. Our community programming and services continue to serve those less fortunate including our homeless shelter, The Inn, and our innovative Food for Friends program that Stephen initiated 16 years ago, along with our Bullwinkle’s Eatery and Hospitality Training Centre five years ago, among many other programs he designed in the past. He will be deeply missed and his legacy will continue for many years to come. Wishing him many healthy years in his much-deserved retirement!”
Giuliano's last day on the job will be this Friday and Shawn Shapton will be stepping up as Acting Executive Director.
