Mayor Jerry Acchione said he's excited about the chance to review the plan with the brand-new Council.
WOODSTOCK - City Council has approved a special meeting for the end of March.
Part of yesterday's Council meeting was the decision to gather for a Strategic Priorities Workshop at 1:30 p.m. on March 30. Woodstock's Strategic Plan was last done a few years ago.
Mayor Jerry Acchione said he's excited about the chance to review the plan with the brand-new Council.
"We just got all this information from walking around and speaking to so many citizens in the City of Woodstock, so let's see what they're saying, see if it lines up with the Strategic Plan, and set those priorities."
Acchione cited homelessness as an example of something that was not discussed during the composition of the initial Strategic Plan and will almost surely be added, as it was one of the most popular issues mentioned by the public.
Details from Council's special meeting will be released to the public for feedback, and Acchione said public meetings could follow, but it comes down to the response they get from Woodstonians.
