Police seized over $67,000 in methamphetamine and cocaine and arrested 5 people after search warrants were executed in Stratford, Woodstock, St. Marys and Kitchener.
WOODSTOCK/STRATFORD/ST. MARYS/KITCHENER - A massive drug bust that started in Stratford has resulted in five arrests and the seizure of over $67,000 in methamphetamine and cocaine.
The Stratford Police Service Street Crime Unit started this investigation in June. On Monday they stopped a 51 year old from Stratford and arrested him on charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking. Police say they searched his car and found 404 grams of methamphetamine, 174 grams of cocaine and 70 hydromorph capsules of various strengths.
Later that day, four search warrants were then done at homes in St. Marys, Kitchener and Woodstock. The warrants resulted in the seizure of another 82.5 grams of methamphetamine and eight grams of cocaine. Four other individuals were also arrested. These individuals were identified as a 32-year-old male from St Marys, a 25-year-old female from St Marys, a 21-year-old female from St Marys, and a 29-year-old female from Woodstock. Charges for Possession of a Substance and Possession for the Purpose
of Trafficking were laid against all arrested parties.
The total value of drugs seized as a result of this investigation was $67 372, and the vehicle involved in the initial traffic stop was also seized as proceeds of crime.
