A new Oxford County study shows plans for water and wastewater servicing solutions for the next 22 years.
OXFORD COUNTY - The 2024 Water and Wastewater Master Plan study is now complete for Oxford County.
The study has worked to identify the preferred water and wastewater servicing solutions to meet Oxford's growth needs through to 2046.
It was undertaken in accordance with the master planning and design process of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment and approved under the Ontario Environmental Assessment Act.
All-in-all, the plans consist of:
-A comprehensive background review of water and wastewater services, including water distribution, wastewater collection, treatment facilities, storage towers and more.
-A situation analysis of the County's current water and wastewater needs and projected changes to population, development, social and economic conditions, economy, facilities, and land use and planning initiatives.
-A list of recommendations and proposals to guide the County’s future water and wastewater services.
-And more.
The full plans are available online for a 30-day review period starting Nov 1 and ending Nov 30.
For full details including where to submit questions or concerns, head to oxfordcounty.ca/wwwmp. Written comments will be accepted until November 30, 2023.
