Summer Sunday Evenings has returned to Southside Park.
WOODSTOCK - Summer Sunday Evenings in Southside Park is back for another year.
It's a tradition that's been taking place for about 40 years. They have seven shows scheduled; with a new artist and speaker featured each evening.
Volunteer Carol Enberts says they have lots of musical talent on tap.
"We have Southern Gospel, The Torch Men, Heading Home Trio, the Chapellaires. We have another family on the last evening August 26th; Jane Valenta and she's a Woodstock gal."
The Stiff Family will hit the stage for the first show on July 8th. Each performance will also include a speaker that will look to spread a message of hope in the Friendly City. The speakers include representatives from Faithway Baptist Church, Pastor Mark Lowery from Huron Park Baptist Church, Former Pastor Lance Johnson from Huron Park Baptist Church and Mark Massacre; a pastor from Stevensville.
Enberts says everyone is welcome to attend.
"You can drive in and stay in your cars, you can bring lawn chair and get out of your cars or sit on the lawn. Meet friends there, bring friends and neighbours and just enjoy an evening in the park."
