After a discussion and vote, South-West Oxford made the decision to be an unwilling host for wind turbines.
SOUTH-WEST OXFORD - A massive decision was made by South-West Oxford Council.
At their latest meeting a wind turbine project was presented, and by a vote of 5 to 1 it was turned down, and there will not be wind turbines in SWOX. It was Councilor Jim Pickard who moved the "unwilling host" motion forward. The only member of Council to vote in favour of the project was Mayor David Mayberry.
Other areas of Oxford County have also declared themselves as unwilling hosts, and that includes Zorra Township and East-Zorra Tavistock.
