Taking The Pledge

The Pledge To End Bullying continues to grow.

The Pledge is back.

Monday morning, students across the region will be taking "The Pledge to End Bullying" at their schools.

It's a hugely successful campaign that launched last year, asking schools, workplaces and individuals to stand up to bullying.

Thames Valley District School Board Director Laura Elliott says it's a message that has been widely accepted.  "I think that's the exciting part, it's not just the schools that are participating in the pledge.  We also have support from our local hospitals and other businesses that they hear about this and they strongly believe that they're a part of this and that everyone needs to take responsibility."

The pledge has extended beyond Thames Valley into Windsor, Barrie, and even Saskatoon and parts of Manitoba.
