The Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital is hosting a gala in May to celebrate 100 years.
TILLSONBURG - The Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital is celebrating 100 years.
A pair of events have already taken place to start the celebration, but one event is still coming. Retired Employee, Loralee Heemskirk says people should be excited for the night, which is going to be called The Century of Caring Gala.
"The gala takes place Saturday, May 10th at the Tillsonburg Community Centre. The theme for the evening is a century of caring and an evening of story telling."
Heemskirk mentions the night will start with a complementary 100 anniversary drink and appetizers, before speakers and a meal. She adds there will be display tables filled with information about the history of the hospital. Heemskirk says tickets are on sale right now.
"Tickets are $120 with a $50 income tax receipt being issued to the purchaser."
Tickets can be bought at the Hospital Foundation or Hospital Administration offices. President and CEO of Alexandra Hospital in Ingersoll and Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital, Nadia Facca speaks to how the money will be spent.
"We will be using the funds towards our Capital Equipment priorities, which includes our new program to replace all of the hospital beds."
Facca mentions there will be a 100 Club, which is looking for donors. They are hoping for at least one donor at $100,000, 10 donors at $10,000, 100 donors at $1000, and 1000 donors at $100. Again if you are looking for tickets you can visit the TDMH Foundation and Administration offices.
