WEST PERTH - The Perth OPP would like to remind everyone to think twice before sending intimate photos to someone online.
A 15-year-old from West Perth recently fell victim to a sextortion scam, after meeting someone over social media.
They shared intimate photos with this person, who then threatened to share those photos with their friends if they didn't send more. The victim sent $150 to this person hoping they would stop.
If you ever find yourself in a situation like this, police say you should not send them any money, screenshot their messages, block the person and call police.
