THAMESFORD - It should be another exciting year of Thamesford Trojans hockey.
The Junior C club opens up their season on September 18th when they host Lucan. Head Coach Dick Howard tells Heart FM a couple of rookies have really impressed in training camp.
"A couple of young goalies have impressed us so far, they are coming from Midget so you never know what is going to happen from there because Junior hockey is so different."
Howard's says he expects the team will play in a lot of tight games this year as they will have a young team with a couple of returning veterans. Thamesford will start the year with three straight home games before starting a hectic schedule on the road.
"Well it doesn't matter at the end of the day but with the hectic schedule we have, its good to start the season with home games and hopefully pile up some wins because we will likely lose some players around Christmas time for a week or two."
