The clinic in Tillsonburg will be similar to the one in Woodstock on a smaller scale and they will administering the Pfizer and Moderna vaccine.
TILLSONBURG - Southwestern Public Health will be announcing a new COVID-19 vaccination clinic in Tillsonburg later this week.
Medical Officer of Health Dr. Joyce Lock says the announcement is imminent.
"At this time we have two large clinics, one in St. Thomas and one in Woodstock, the announcement of a vaccination clinic in Tillsonburg is imminent. These clinics are currently administering the Pfizer vaccine, Tillsonburg will also have Moderna."
Dr. Lock says the clinic will be similar to the one in Woodstock.
"It's a smaller version of what is happening in Woodstock. We will run it as long as we have the need and the capacity to do so. How long it is open is still unsure but it will be supplementing the centre at Goff Hall to provide more vaccine options for Oxford County."
The latest data from the Health Unit shows over 32,000 people in the region have received at least one dose of the vaccine.
