This year's StreetFest will feature an old event, with the Chamber of Commerce and BIA working together.
WOODSTOCK - Something old is being made new in Woodstock.
The Downtown BIA and Chamber of Commerce are working together to bring back the Community Challenge, which will be a part of StreetFest. Mike Crabbe, the General Manager of the Woodstock Chamber of Commerce, explains what it is.
"They would get together with the workplaces, and they would go out, and they would compete in different kinds of challenges for the day, and I remember as a kid being at Southside, and it was just so spirited."
BIA Operations Manager Duane Kumala-Thomas says what events will be involved.
"There's a wall climb that will be there, a cornhole tournament. We're bringing down basketball. We're working on a potential hockey activation. There's going to be a scavenger hunt. There's a zip line."
The Community Challenge is coming back as a tribute to the 125 years Woodstock has been around. If you would like to hear more about the Community Challenge and what other news was mentioned about StreetFest, you can listen to the full Heart FM Morning Show interview below.
