Donations are being raised at the Hickson Fire Station with food, drinks, and a car wash.
HICKSON - The Firefighter Car Wash in Hickson is making a triumphant return.
The car wash is taking place this Saturday from 10 to 2 p.m. Firefighter Chris Ward says there will be food and refreshments too.
"We are serving sausage on a bun at 11 a.m. until supplies run out, and it's all donation. If they're there we will wash them!"
You can expect to see Ward and his fellow fighters washing cars, rain or shine, to help raise funds for the Hickson Fire Hall.
"We want to get back out in the community and show that we are there as a basic community event. It's all by donation and we're not looking to raise a lot of money."
All donations will be going to help make purchases through the fire department such as upgrading tools and equipment.
The Hickson Firefighters' Association is hosting a car wash on Saturday July 9th. Join them at the Hickson Fire Hall at 49 Loveys Street from 10am to 2pm. pic.twitter.com/PsitRe2lDj
