Runway of Stars is back for its 5th annual show at the Oxford Auditorium here in Woodstock supporting WDDS. Last year the show raised over $25,000 to help enhance the services and supports offered by WDDS and they are hoping to do the same if not better this year.
WOODSTOCK - The 5th annual Runway of Stars is happening at the Oxford Auditorium again this year.
The event is Thursday, October 10th, doors open at 6:30 a.m and the show starts at 7:30 a.m.
Organizer Dallas Van Dyk says Proceeds from the show go to WDDS.
"WDDS is the largest adult development agency in Oxford County and enhancing our services is everything from the technology we offer, to the level of support and the staffing things like that."
Last year at the show they raised over $25,000 to help enhance the services and supports offered by WDDS and they are hoping to do the same if not better this year. Van Dyk explains that enhance their services doesn't just mean for the company but for the people who are a part of the help programs.
"They're not just attending something but trying new things on their own, making friendships or joining a swimming program at the Aquatic Centre"
The event will be offering food from Panino's and drinks from the mobile bar the Peachy Rooster which has two signature cocktails for the show and a cash bar.
Local Celebrities and people from WDDS programs are paired up to walk down the runway and show off local fashion store products with people like the Mayor of Woodstock Trevor Birtch and Heart FM's own Dan Henry.
