A Rock Sails By will debut at Theatre Woodstock this weekend.
WOODSTOCK - The next show at Theatre Woodstock will take you out of this world.
A Rock Sails By is about an astrophysicist who does an interview with a journalist about an astroid heading towards earth, but her words get twisted around and now her job career is in jeopardy.
Sarah Adam plays Olive, the daughter of the main character.
"Dr. Lynn Cummings is an astrophysicist who is top in her field and has been nominated for several Nobel Prize awards, but she is in the early stages of dementia. As her daughter, I am very concerned for her so I have come home to check on her and see where things are at."
The dramedy features eight cast members, which also includes Pursod Ramachandran who plays the journalist. He says the show has been in the works for a few months now, and they're excited to share it with everyone.
"Late January is when we first got together as a cast and started practicing. It does start April 3rd and is runs through to April 13th, so that's the Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and a Sunday matinee for both weekends."
The show is not a musical, but it does has a soundtrack of Canadian music that will take the audience through each act.
Tickets for A Rock Sails By are buy one get one free and they can be purchased on the Theatre Woodstock website online here.
Sarah Adam and Pursod Ramachandran stopped by the Heart FM studio to chat with Dan and Marcie on Friday March 28th. You can listen to the full interview below:
