Ever wonder what happens after happily ever after?
WOODSTOCK - We all know the classic tale of Snow White, but have you ever wondered what happened next?
A Snow White Christmas is the latest production at Theatre Woodstock.
Joanna Kennedy plays the Fairly Good Mother, a fairy trainee who helps Snow on this new journey. She says this story is set many years after the original fairy tale.
"So the Christmas part is thrown in because it is the overarching setting and theme of the show. But Snow White is no longer in her original happily ever after, she is out seeking a new one."
Dave Butcher plays the role of Vincent Charming, who tries to hit on Snow White. He says his favourite part of the show is his character's introduction.
"He blows in like a hurricane and definitely tries to sweep her (Snow White) off her feet right off the bat, but I can't say much more!"
The play was written by Norm Foster and it's a family friendly show, but kids should be at least eight years old.
About 130 people watched the show's preview night last night and there are still more performances scheduled for this weekend and next weekend. Tickets can be purchased on the Theatre Woodstock website online here.
Joanna Kennedy and Dave Butcher stopped by the Heart FM studio to chat with Dan and Marcie on Friday December 6th. You can listen to the full interview below:
