Three people were taken to the hospital and one lane of the 401 remains closed after a three vehicle crash this morning.
WOODSTOCK - A three vehicle crash caused the 401 West bound to be closed for 9 hours today in Woodstock.
Police were called to the 401 near Sweaburg Road at 4:00 am this morning after a transport truck, car and mini van collision. The impact from the crash caused the truck to flip over. It was carrying 450 litres of diesel fuel from its gas tanks and they leaked all over the westbound lanes. The highway was closed for over 9 hours to deal with the clean up between Sweaburg Road and Dodge Line.
All three drivers involved in the crash were taken to the hospital with serious but non life threatening injuries. One lane remains closed to assist with further clean up and is not expected to re-open until this evening.
Police are seeking anyone who may have witnesses the collision and have not yet spoken to police, to contact the Oxford County OPP at 519-485-6554 or 1-888-310-1122.
