NORFOLK - A woman was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries after a three vehicle crash.
On Sunday, September 18th around 11:41 a.m. OPP, Norfolk County Fire, and Paramedics were called to Highway 3 and Fertilizer road.
They determined that a green van being driven by a 74 year old man from Norfolk County was stopped on Highway 3 waiting to turn northbound onto Fertilizer Road when it was hit by a white pickup truck travelling eastbound and hauling a wood chipper.
The pickup truck veered across the highway, into the westbound lanes of Highway 3 and hit a black vehicle head on.
The driver of the black vehicle - a 46 year old woman from Norfolk - sustained life threatening injuries.
The 43 year old Tillsonburg man driving the pickup truck was unharmed, as was his passenger a 42 year old from Tillsonburg.
The driver of the green van has minor injuries.
The investigation is ongoing and charges are pending.
