Environment Canada says we could be in for some wet and windy conditions this afternoon.
OXFORD COUNTY - It is likely that we will see a downpour this afternoon and into the early evening hours.
The risk of lightning is aslo likely with this storm, as well as the potential for isolated damaging wind gusts, including possible hail.
The threat for severe thunderstorms will end in all area later this evening.
Strong wind gusts can toss loose objects, damage weak buildings, break branches off trees and overturn large vehicles.
The public is reminded that lightning can cause severe injures or possibly even death. Remember, when thunder roars, go indoors.
UPDATE (July 26th @ 3:11 p.m.) - Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the Oxford County and Brant County.
UPDATE (July 26th @ 5:15 p.m.) - The severe thunderstorm warning and the severe thunderstorm watch have both been called off.
UPDATE (July 26th @ 8:18 p.m.) - Environment Canada has issued another severe thunderstorm warning.
