OXFORD/BRANT - A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for Oxford and Brant.
Environment Canada is currently monitoring a storm system that developed in Michigan and it could also bring heavy rain and strong winds gusts up to 90 kilometres per hour this morning.
Officials say the storm could affect southwestern Ontario but it's track could also change at any moment.
The heat warning also remains in effect for Oxford Brant. We're in for a daytime high of 30 today, but it will feel more like 38 with the humidity. The temperature should drop to an overnight low of 20 for tonight.
It looks like the heat wave should end by the weekend. Environment Canada is currently predicting a daytime high of 23 for Saturday with an overnight low of 11.
