Tillsonburg Council is set to support solar energy tonight for those interested in developing a renewable energy project. The town's council will vote on a blanket resolution that supports rooftop solar projects tonight. Two weeks ago, staff had not had an opportunity to review the recently released FIT regulations, and deferred the decision. A review of the regulations has been conducted and found safe and abiding of all building codes. The Solar Power Network hopes that the FIT Program will be adopted by Tillsonburg businesses. And two businesses are already showing their support. Moose Power and the Long Point Conservation Authority have written into council saying they want to see solar projects in the town.
