TILLSONBURG - The Town of Tillsonburg is letting residents know the Transfer Station on Newell Road will be closed during the State of Emergency.
Mayor Stephen Molnar says the transfer station will be closed for at least 28 days.
“The Premier has instructed Ontarians to stay at home whenever possible and only leave home for essential errands like picking up groceries, or prescriptions. Closing the Transfer Station at this time respects that direction and will help protect our community from the continued spread of COVID-19.”
Both the yard waste area and large item depot will remain closed as well for a minimum of 28 days.
The Transfer Station was temporarily closed in the spring of 2020 during the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.
