With support of the Government of Canada, and the Sand Plains Community Development Fund, Tillsonburg Tube received a $120,000 investment. That investment is going towards new equipment and training employees. Tillsonburg Tubes is a manufacturer of containers and storage products for the yellow grease industry. MP Dave Mackenzie was in attendance at the announcement, as was as Tillsonburg Mayor John Lessif. Lessif said " This is a young entrepreneur who is looking to expand his business. He lives in this community as do many of his employees which is a huge plus." The Sand Plains Community Development Fund targets community based initiatives that support regional development, attract people and stimulate job creation.
