Karl Toews will serve as the next Ward 1 councillor for Norwich Township.
OTTERVILLE/SPRINGFORD - We now know who the next Ward 1 Councillor will be in Norwich Township.
Karl Toews won the council seat after securing 469 votes in the byelection. According to the Norwich Township website, 366 of those votes were cast yesterday and the remaining 103 were filed during the advanced poll on Saturday April 27th.
Roy King came in second place with 329 votes in the end, followed by Valerie Haley with 137 votes.
Ward 1 represents the southern portion of Norwich Township, including the communities of Otterville and Springford.
During his candidate profile interview with the Heart FM newsroom, Toews said recruiting and retaining more doctors for the Township would be high on his priority list if he were elected.
