Thanks to a generous $150,000 donation from Toyota, WDDS has a new multi-purpose community room.
WOODSTOCK - Toyota Manufacturing has donated $150,000 to Woodstock and District Developmental Services.
The money has been used to create a new community room, which has the ability to divide into two smaller rooms. Kathy Straus, the CEO at WDDS, says these community rooms can serve many purposes.
"We use them largely for meetings and training sessions - external training as well as internal training - there's Zumba that's happening in there sometimes so mostly community events that way."
The room has been officially dubbed the 'Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada Community Room.' Straus adds she is very thankful for Toyota's support.
"We really appreciate the partnership that we have with Toyota. They have been an extremely beneficial community partner and very supportive of the work that we do."
The big announcement was made during an open house at the WDDS headquarters. It was attended by members of the public and local dignitaries.
