Oxford OPP release the names of victims from two separate crashes in Norwich Township.
OXFORD COUNTY -- It was a tragic weekend on Oxford County roads with OPP responding to two fatal crashes.
Saturday afternoon around 4:55 pm, 48 year-old David Howard of Woodstock was killed when his motorcycle hit the gravel shoulder, causing him to drive off the road and crash into a ditch.
Police say Howard had been travelling northbound on Oxford Road 13, north of Ninth Road in Norwich Township.
Sunday morning shortly after 9:00 am, a collision between a Terra-Gator sprayer and car claimed the life of a nine year-old girl in Otterville.
OPP say the westbound car on Main Street attempted to make a left hand turn but crossed into the path of the eastbound sprayer.
Ainsley Swance, who was sitting in the front passenger seat died as a result of the crash. The female adult driver and three young children in the back seat were transported to the hospitalto be treated for minor injuries.
The Ministry of Labour were notified but did not attend the scene of the crash.
