"We responded to adversity with incredible courage, resilience, and hard work. We have not just persevered. We have emerged stronger, more united, and more determined than ever before to build a better future for Thames Valley students."
OXFORD COUNTY - The Thames Valley District School Board has released a short video thanking students ahead of the summer break.
This has been a challenging year for everyone, and students have had it pretty rough, constantly switching for in person to online learning. Director of Education Mark Fisher says in the the face of a public health crisis, we worked side-by-side to support student learning in the safest way possible.
"We responded to adversity with incredible courage, resilience, and hard work. We have not just persevered. We have emerged stronger, more united, and more determined than ever before to build a better future for Thames Valley students."
Fisher says they can't wait to see everyone at school in September.
"As we await more details from the Ministry of Education, we look forward to seeing a return to a more normal school year in September – when students will see their friends and the teachers and staff in their schools again, and classrooms will be full of bright and eager students."
