What started out as a suspicious vehicle report on Grosvenor Street in Woodstock ended with several charges being laid against a 30-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman.
WOODSTOCK - Two people from Woodstock are facing multiple charges.
Woodstock Police responded to a suspicious vehicle report on Grosvenor Street Wednesday night.
Upon further investigation, officers discovered that the car had been stolen and that the accused was wanted for a gas drive off theft earlier this month.
Police also seized suspected fentanyl, methanphetamine, XANAX pills and a prohibited weapon from their male suspect.
The 30-year-old man has been charged with several offenses including possession of a firearm/ammunition for a dangerous purpose, possession of an opioid for the purpose of trafficking, possession of methanphetamine for the purpose of trafficking and theft under $5,000.
A 34-year-old woman has also been charged with possession of property obtained by crime.
