A 34-year-old and a 75-year-old now face impaired driving charges in Brant County.
PARIS/BRANT - Two drivers were busted for impaired driving in Brant County recently.
The first incident happened in Paris. A driver was pulled over at around 1:20 a.m. yesterday after OPP officers noticed suspicious driving behaviour. After speaking with the driver, the officers had reason to believe that he had been drinking, so he was taken to the detachment for further testing.
The 34-year-old is now facing one count of operation while impaired by alcohol and one count of operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration over 80.
The second incident happened a few hours later. Brant OPP officers pulled over a vehicle in Burford at around 2:20 p.m. because they believed it was the subject of a traffic complaint they received.
That driver was also taken to the detachment for further testing, and a 75-year-old has since been charged with operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration over 80.
If you spot someone who you believe is impaired behind the wheel, you should report it to the OPP by calling 1-888-310-1122.
