Two men from Oxford County have been arrested after a barn was broken into on Salford Road.
SOUTH-WEST OXFORD TOWNSHIP - Two men from Oxford County have been arrested after a barn was broken into on Salford Road near Zenda Line in South-West Oxford Township, near the Norwich Township border.
Police say the barn was broken into on Friday morning around 1:30. Officers spotted an abandoned vehicle near the farm and several stolen items from the barn were recovered there
OPP tracked two suspects and located one on the South-West Oxford Township property and one on a nearby Norwich Township property.
38 year old Collin Eustache of Woodstock was arrested and facing the following charges.
- Trespassing at night (2 counts)
- Personation with intent to avoid arrest (Identity Fraud)
- Break and Enter
- Possession of a prohibited device
- Possession of break in instruments
- Possession of property obtained by crime - Under $5,000 (2 counts)
- Fail to Appear/Comply with Order (2 counts)
- Fail to Comply with Probation order
42 year old Nathan Carr of Norwich Township was also arrested and facing the following charges:
- Break and Enter
- Trespassing at night (2 counts)
- Possession of property obtained by crime - Under $5,000 (2 counts)
- Possession of break in instruments
- Fail to Comply with Probation order
The OPP is asking residents to be vigilant in recognizing suspicious people or vehicles that are in your neighbourhoods. It is important for this information to get to police when the suspects may still be in the area.
