Another update has been given by the West Region OPP regarding the Festive RIDE campaign happening.
WEST REGION - It has been 2 weeks since the Festive RIDE campaign began.
The 13 detachments across the West Region of the OPP have been out conducting RIDE checks to make sure the roads are safe this holiday season. In the first 2 weeks, there have been 95 impaired driving charges and 39 warn-range suspensions.
Locally, the Oxford County detachment has handed out 6 impaired driving charges and 1 warn-range suspension.
The Festive RIDE campaign will run until January 1st, 2026.
