United Way Oxford will be hosting its next Community Conversation tonight and it's going to shine a light on Transgender Awareness and Education.
OXFORD COUNTY - United Way Oxford is looking to shine a light on Transgender Awareness and Education.
Executive Director Kelly Gilson says that will be the focus of the next Community Conversation tonight.
"We will have a transgender gentleman tell his story which I think is really interesting for people to understand and a panel of local service providers talking about their programs and services and the need in the community. I think people will be really interested and I think that it's something that we as a community all want to learn more about. I think it's going to be a fantastic opportunity."
The live stream will begin at 7:00 p.m. and those watching the event live will be able to ask the panel questions. It's free to sign up and all you have to do is send an e-mail to Amanda Kreiger amanda@unitedwayoxford.ca.
United Way Oxford will also post the video to its website afterward. You can find more information online here.
