The conversation is about the connection of good oral health to overall health, self-esteem, opportunity, and more.
OXFORD - Another United Way Community United Conversation Webinar is here.
It's not too late to register for tomorrow's facilitated conversation on Oral Health Needs & Dental Services. The webinar takes place at 7 p.m., and a group of panelists from local organizations such as the Oxford County Community Health Centre, Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry and Southwestern Public Health will discuss the connection of good oral health to overall health, self-esteem, opportunity, employment, diet and more.
Kelly Gilson is the Executive Director at United Way Oxford and she explains who the conversation is aimed at.
"Between this wonderful group of experts, we will have a lot of information to share with people in the community. In particular, it's geared to those who are living in low-income, who are really challenged to get the support and services they need."
The virtual webinar can be joined the night of, or you can watch the recording here afterwards.
The Community United Conversation Webinar Series has been going on for a number of years and the goal has always been to build community awareness and understanding, as well as shine a light upon "unignorable issues" in the county.
Oxford residents can help find an innovative community solution that changes lives by highlighting services, programs and organizations that are trying to make a difference in the specific area the conversation is about.
